Lots of color photos and history but this book leaves out completely the Flower of Life and Metatron's Cube, which is ridiculous since those are the foundation of sacred geometry. It's like buying a book about Christianity and having it not mention Jesus. I recommend buying a different book if you want the complete facts of sacred geometry.
Love this book. I am interested in learning about this subject, and is amazing how clearly it explains the relation between geometry, nature, the universe, harmony, art, etc. Great book.

Nice book with lots of pictures and diagrams. It gives a nice overview of Sacred Geometry and many of its aspects and associations. This is not an in depth book as it covers many aspects without expounding deeply into any one facet.

Sacred Geometry is an excellent book to read for anyone who loves harmony and insight of mathematics.It starts with the chapter Hidden Order, where the surprising simplicity and harmony were revealed through a few governing patterns that spread in pure arithmetic and geometry. Some are well known to math lovers, like the golden ratio, Fibonacci sequence, the Pythagorean Theorem, some may not be as popular but also has intrinsic beauty like music and simple ratios of integers, curious prime-number patterns, and a lot more to follow. All of these constitute a main thread of the book, and are treasures hidden behind this wonderful world.The author: internationally acclaimed Stephan Skinner, takes us to a wonderful journey and acts as a knowledgeable, experienced tour guide. Under his guide we see life and nature, we see landscape, architecture and arts; everywhere we go there is harmony and intrinsic beauty. Math is clearly presented, but it is not just math: while one reads he is being attracted by those beautiful illustrations, great photos taken and some master pieces of arts. This combination reveals the amazing beauty to its extreme; and the book itself is both a scientific book and an artwork!For a peek of the book, the amazing architecture of cathedrals and several famous painting are part of the author's analysis for their hidden geometric structure; accompanied with photos or drawings that are so beautiful. While everyone will find the architecture appealing to our eyes, one would easily miss the embedded geometry, which the author presents to us in a clear, often thought-provoking manner. For me, I read with much interest the section that discusses vesica piscis ('wombâ€) or itchthys (“fishâ€) as symbol representing life and early Christianity – again its geometry is clearly explained that one can follow it in each step to construct one, while appreciating its wonderful properties. For those repeating, harmoniously proportion patterns in nature like the beautiful shape of the shells of nautilus (as the author reveals to us), it is just right to deem as “god at work†and so declare the “sacred geometry†-- while those art works, like vesica piscis – who knows it is not inspired by God?Where the geometry of some ancient architecture were discussed, at several places the numbers in dimensions /sizes were compared to magic numbers like Golden ratio, geometry of a circle etc for which I was not fully convinced. The author also claimed exactly 81 chemical elements (with some excluded due to instability or not existing in nature), and noted that 81 is a perfect square 9 × 9. In my opinion, merely co-incidence cannot be excluded. In a few places I was tipped while reading.However these are minor. Without conservation I recommend the book to all. While deep connections are revealed, the book is accessible for a wide audience, including students at middle schools, meanwhile even for me a math lover and teacher for many years, I still find some ideas that I've not learned before. It is a view-changing book, and it is like a feast for both the eyes and minds. I am truly grateful for the author and publisher for bringing out such a great book.
